Episode Notes

If you’ve ever driven by a large port filled with containers on the dock or noticed a large tractor-trailer truck carrying a container on a highway, one name always stands out from the rest.

Since 1904, Maersk has moved or warehoused goods for its customers around the world and continues to do so today. With around 700 vessels, 110,000 employees, and 100,000 customers in approximately 130 countries around the world, Maersk remains a leader in its industry.

While shipping goods by vessel is critical to a well-functioning global supply chain, the world’s oceans have been subjected to incredible levels of pollution, adding greatly to the global climate crisis. Maersk recognizes its role in contributing to the global ocean carbon footprint and has emerged as an industry leader in an effort for environmental change and sustainability.

The company has ambitions to continuously reduce carbon emissions and become “carbon net zero” by 2040.

Introducing, Eco Delivery.

In this interview, learn more from Maersk executives about how the company is using green products such as Eco Delivery – developed in partnership with its customers and introduced in 2019 – to allow customers to ship with green fuels as an alternative to fossil fuels.
